IRS Gets Shortchanged
March 31, 2004
As the administration argues that it took terrorism seriously before 9/11, it might help its case if it didn't make decisions that suggest it doesn't take terrorism very seriously today. For example, the IRS won't get the money it asks for to fight terror. Super. I assume this money is already earmarked for another tax cut for the rich.
Meanwhile, the evidence continues to mount that the administration essentially ignored terrorism in favor of "pertinent issues" like missile defense: "Top Focus Before 9/11 Wasn't on Terrorism "
