Failing in Afghanistan

Excellent article on the US effort in Afghanistan. Sometimes I wonder what might have happened if we had put a full and more appropriate effort into rebuilding and reforming that country, instead of bombing it, letting bin Laden get away, and then leaving it to fester. This is a dangerous situation, and should be getting our attention, but it's not.
